This LG 34wk95u is my favorite from a content creator's point of view. Why I'll talk about it.
Specification
The screen size of LG 34wk95u is 34 inches. The resolution of this display with a 21: 9 aspect ratio is 5K2K or 5120 x 2160. The monitor panel is a Nano-IPS panel called display resolution dot com AH-IPS. The typical brightness of the monitor is 450 cd / m2, with a minimum of 360 / m2 and the peak brightness is 700cd / m2. Another interesting feature of the monitor is that it is VESA Display HDR 600 standard certified. For which maximum 600-nits luminance is possible in this panel.
Key Features:
One of the notable features is its 5k2k resolution. If the consumer has a superfast Thunderbolt 3 supported device, its best utilization can be done with this monitor. This Nano IPS panel is VESA Display HDR 600 standard certified. That's why HDR content will be suitable for watching and playing games. The monitor's OSD or ON Screen Display is also packed with features.
OSD and App
OSD has many more options including advanced 6-axis control and gamma (four profiles) adjustments. For HDR and SDR, there are separate picture presets like cinema, custom, and vivid.
In addition to OSD, there is a separate desktop app called On-Screen Control software, with which most of the OSD's options can be easily accessed, viewed, and changed from the desktop. There are also features like HDCP 2.2, Super Plus Resolution, Smart Energy Saving, Reader Mode, DAS Mode, Response Time Control, and Factory Calibration.
Problems and limitations:
Small and big bugs or lack of features are present in all products, the same applies to LG 34wk95u. This 1 lakh 60 thousand taka monitor does not have any variable refresh rate feature, i.e. features like G-sync, and Free-sync is missing here.
According to Display Ninza, many users have complained about the burn-in issue with this monitor, and even got some user reports in the review section of LG's website.
One of them complained that his thunderbolt port stopped working after 6 months and in the case of another one the display port stopped working after one year. There are also complaints about LG's firmware update.
Before buying, keep in mind that the monitor is not Flickr-free. There is no chance of swiveling or rotate rotation. Therefore, many people may have problems in the case of adjustment.
And the build material of the monitor is mostly plastic, which is also something to keep in mind.
One last thing I would like to mention is that although there are many connectivity options if you want to enjoy the Max Resolution of the monitor i.e. 5k, you must connect the monitor through Display port 1.4 or Thunderbolt 3 port.
For whom:
This monitor may be the best option for those who are looking for a perfect quality display for MacBook Pro or MacBook Air.
With extreme color accuracy, image quality and a wider field of view, vibrant colors, and crisp details for content makers, content creators, for those who need huge screen space for work, this monitor is definitely a good pick.
And not to mention since the display is VESA Display HDR 600 standard certified, for those who want to consume HDR content or HDR gaming, this can be a great option.
Suppose you have a production house or digital content creation is your profession and you are looking for the absolute best solution, then this monitor may be your top choice.
Especially if you want to pair up with iMac.
